Jack Conway held its 36th annual Conway Convention on Friday, February 3 at the Four Points by Sheraton in Norwood, MA. Hundreds of agents, managers, staff and partners attended the fast-moving day full of events.
The theme for the 2023 Convention was “Set Up for Success.” Through three presentations and panels, experts in the topics of client appreciation, social media, and video shared tips to help agents prepare themselves for success in their business for this year and beyond.
The day started with breakfast before President/COO Al Becker welcomed everyone to the event. To get things started, CEO Carol Bulman joined Al on stage, where they congratulated the company’s 2022 superstars. Carol then encouraged agents to set new practices for themselves and strive to go the extra mile each day.
Michael Bulman, VP of Strategy, presented on client appreciation, sharing how he organizes his touches to his clients to ensure that they feel heard and appreciated. Following his presentation, Al Becker welcomed Conway agents Kim Gravel and Sandy Andersen to the stage where they had a conversation on their own client appreciation tactics.
Between presenters, Carol spoke with Jack Conway’s core services to learn what’s new for 2023. She first spoke with Kevin Richardson from Conway Financial Services, and he announced that buy-downs are back.
Top agent Corie Nagle was the next presenter. She spoke about social media, and shared where to post, what to post, and how to post when it comes to using social media for a real estate business. She dove further into the topic when Al joined her on stage, and asked questions to agents David Michael and Christina LaCava, who utilize social media for marketing their business.
In a quick conversation between Carol and Columbia Title Company’s Andy Bulman, they introduced the new Closing Coordinator, Kyle Santorine, who will be acting as a point of contact for agents that have questions for their in-house Closing company.
The final presenter for the morning half of the event was Mikayla Healy, who thrives in her real estate business through the use of video. She shared examples from her own social media, and explained why video can set you apart from other agents, and tips for those that are just starting out. In a panel following her presentation, Al asked questions to Cindy Brouwer who uses video marketing, and Matt Murphy from Boston Virtual Imaging.
To close out the morning portion, Carol introduced with Sarah Stubbs from Conway Country Insurance, who encouraged agents to do a personal insurance policy check-up to ensure that they have the best policies possible.
Agents enjoyed networking with the Convention’s sponsors and learning how the businesses could benefit them.
To kick off lunch, the main sponsor of the event, Henry Wheelwright and Claire Smith from Griffith Wheelwright Group at Morgan Stanley shared a few financial planning tips specific to independent contractors and realtors.
Michael Bulman and Al Becker presented four new services that Jack Conway is introducing this year:
- Set up for SOLD listing program
- Personalized Social Media Coordinator
- Set up for Success branding checklist
- Transaction Coordinator
Following lunch, awards were presented for top referral agent, office, and team for Relocation, CFS, CTC, and CCI, and then Al Becker and CFO Katie Clifford presented the Office Tops awards and Rising Stars, before Carol Bulman gave out the final awards of the night for Companywide Tops.
Everyone who attended the 2023 Conway Convention left with major takeaways from all the presentations that will set them up for success. The event was fun, fast-moving, and full of useful information that agents can use to make a real impact on their business.
